Kaimur Wildlife Sanctuary, Bihar Established inthis wildlife sanctuary is the home for some species of tigers, leopards, Indian boars, bears, and deer. From Delhi, a good number of Volvo buses are available till Manali.
The vivid tribes and culture are just where the magical description of the place starts and the distinguished varieties of flora and fauna prove to be the climax of the area. Panthers also prowl this land but aren't as easy to lay eyes on. Alternately one can take a train to Agra 60 km or Gwalior 60 km or Bharatpur kmwhich are well connected to all the cities throughout India.
A number of luxury buses are also available from Delhi and Chandigarh for Ramnagar, which take around 6 to 7 hours. I find February to be the best month to visit the park as the temperature is not very low and sightings are good. How to reach — The nearest airport is Dibrugarh which has regular flight connections with Delhi and Kolkata.
The Pench River flowing through the natural reserve is the life source of the national park. The most spectacular thing about this little place other than its altitude is the mesmerizing cape of blood red this place adorns during the spring season owing to the rhododendron forests of the region.
Now the nature reserve is home to royal Bengal tigers, Indian leopard, Nilgai, wild boar, sambar, striped hyena, sloth bear, mugger crocodile and chital.
Best time to visit — March to November Most of the national parks are closed during monsoons.
